Planning and production of the project is Nikolaus Moraitis’ part, while his son is mostly active behind the scenes.
Nikolaus Moraitis’ career: Still young, Nikolaus Moraitis finished successfully his apprenticeship as a construction mechanic. For him, it needed to be something technical but his passion has always been extraordinary works and art.
He started with unique jewelry and precious gun engravings that soon caused a stir. Later, technical masterly performances like the two-cylinder steam engine followed. His son noticed his father’s multifaceted talent and started to promote his prominence.
Nowadays, the 51 year old Nikolaus Moraitis spends his days in his workshop creating exceptional pieces for everyone. His workshop is plain, only the things he needs. Experts tend to be astonished since he only owns simple machines.
His goal is to give utterance to his works, so a CNC machine would just not fit in. “The special something gives an individual note to the pieces”.
“Who’s got it in the head, has the ideas and the gift, does not need machines to bring emotions to the pieces”.
There has not been a lot of information circling about Nikolaus Moraitis, his customers found him predominantly by buzz marketing. He has often been told that his all-round nature is just unbelievable.
His customers can divided up into two groups: One that has an idea but is not able to realize it, and one which is just searching for exclusiveness.
