INDIVIDUAL PIECES
A piece of American history
The idea was to create a unique set of arms. It was made to be one of a kind.
So Nikolaus Moraitis decided to design a set of arms that does not exist a second time.
It tells a part of American history. It contains gold and rare gemstones as well as silver.
A set of arms like this is only made on customer’s demand. It takes about two to three years of work.
Drafts
Here are some examples of how we design or produce from ideas or templates.
On the following pages you can see drafts of guns or knives with rare metal fittings.
All drafts are drawn by hand; no computers or image editing programs were used.
Ivory sculptures
Those unique sculptures were made on customer’s demand. Of course, these or similar sculptures can be made from different materials, too.
Very important: These pieces were made from real ivory. We respect the protection of species, thus we can only use ivory with a valid CITES certificate.
Nowadays sculptures like this should only be produced from mammoth ivory, since it helps protecting the rather low populations of living animals.
Dolls
Here, you can see some artistically dolls.
All of them are stationary dolls which were made by Nikolaus Moraitis on customer’s demand. Of course, also the clothing was sewed by hand.
They are all precious pieces and can be created or designed individually.
There is also one amongst the dolls that came to fame. Nikolaus Moraitis manufactured the doll “AKI” for the widely known ventriloquist Fred van Halen, who is predominantly known from carnival events on TV.
