Those unique sculptures were made on customer’s demand. Of course, these or similar sculptures can be made from different materials, too. Nowadays, it is best to use mammoth ivory. It may be a little bit more expensive but using it helps to protect threatened animal species.
If ivory will be used, the piece can be manufactured with a valid CITES certification.
